Textures and Light

I was experimenting with my camera in the back yard this afternoon, trying to capture the last of the sun's rays shining through flowers and leaves.   Some pictures turned out better than others:

The plastic stake in the pot at the nursery said Cuphea verticillata, but I believe this is actually Cuphea 'David Verity'.
