Lessons Learned
Around noon today, I was walking to Quizno's for lunch, when a piece of newspaper blowing across the sidewalk caught my eye. It was from the New York Times -- the headline, "China's Time Bomb; The Most Populous Nation Faces a Population Crisis." I've been interested in Chinese population studies, so I was tempted to pick up the torn and tattered sheet and carry it with me. But I thought it would look a little strange to carry a beat up old newspaper into Quizno's.
Now, when I go to the NYT website, I discover that the article was from May 30 and, hence, requires a subscription to be read.
Lesson: If you see some old newsprint blowing around and you want to read it, pick it up.
(If anybody read the article, please summarize in comments.)
