A chance missed forever

One of my favorite convenience stores has been the "Always Open" store on Clybourn Street in Chicago -- not because I ever went there, but because, whenever I walked by, I liked to imagine how the clerk would respond if I asked how late they were open.

Well, imagine my surprise this Sunday when I saw that the Always Open had finally closed. The sign in the window says that soon a new convenience store will take its place. I wonder if they got tired of being forced to stay open because of their name.
