Smiths Lyrics Contest
All right! Start your engines!
Here are the rules:
We're looking for best bad Morrissey-like lyrics possible. Before entering you may want to have a listen to "William, It Was Really Nothing" or "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" in order to hear the master at his best -- and then try to twist the inspiration into a hideous creation of your own.
Entries can be posted in the comments and will be allowed until Monday, October 18 (which corresponds nicely with the extent of my Minnesota vacation). Those of you who already posted your selections in the previous comments thread need not repost, unless you would like to revise your entry.
Judging will be performed by a public poll on this site, which will be open from 10/18 to 10/25.
And the winner will receive ... adulation from all involved.
