It's a Tough Life

I've been keeping a mental list of all the things my dog, Morgan, is afraid of (being a stray in North Carolina must leave some scars). Here's what I have so far:

Trucks
Buses
Riding in the car
Playing catch
Ennui (sometimes, sitting around the house, she just goes in a corner and sulks)
Dishwashers
Snowmen
My brother Marty
Anybody who looks like my brother Marty
Vacuums (this might be her greatest fear of all)
Sammy (the big dog who lives downstairs)

And she howls like crazy whenever an ambulance goes by.
