Spell-Check Whimsy
At work, I'm often emailing people about "multi's," which is jargon we use for a certain type of donor record.
And every time I email that term, the spell-checker wants to change it to "muftis," which reminds me of that time, long ago, during the democratic primaries, when Maureen Down wrote that Wesley Clark "muffed his mufti" -- and I thought, "What in the world is a mufti?"
