For Comparison's Sake

Here's the proposed Calatrava tower in New York:



I like all three -- but I think Chicago's is the best. I especially like the way he's obviously exploring and refining different themes for tall buildings -- combining an organic type of design with the advances of modernism, something postmodernism should have done all along. I'd say much better than St. Mary Axe (by Foster) in London or some of the deconstructivist proposals by Gehry and others in New York.

My two cents now that I'm not completely in a state of awe anymore!
