Lyrics Quiz
I put my music collection on random this weekend while I was cleaning my apartment, and a couple lyrics caught my attention. I'll give a free ice cream cone to the first person who can identify the two songs these lyric snatches come from:
1. "So what if your yacht is a pip"
2. "And to add to my woes, this ugly woman named Sadie called and said she's having my baby. Lord have mercy."
(Hint: Number two is a song I first heard blasting from an SUV while I was swimming in a cool mountain spring in Arroyo Seco, California, on a late Saturday afternoon as the sun was beginning to set and the chatter of children playing was echoing off the sunlit canyon walls, and Toby was paddling by on a half-inflated air mattress wearing lime green flip-flops and neon yellow goggles -- but that's a story for part II of my vacation recap ...)
