Seasons Change

About ten years ago, my brother and I teased our friend, Dave, pitilessly because he said that the mall of our youth, Northridge, was getting too dangerous to go to. We boldly ignored his advice, and I remember thinking that it felt perfectly safe at the time. The theater had closed, I believe, but they had added a shiny new food court. My brother even bought a computer at the Best Buy in the outlot.

I think I posted last year when I heard that the entire mall had closed down -- a victim of Milwaukee's messed up racial attitudes. Now, if you click on the Dead Malls link to the right, you can read some sad requiems for those hallowed halls.
