The Real Rainey
I went far west to Kane County this afternoon, in order to take my dog, Morgan, on a walk with her new cousin Rainey.
Here's Rainey before the walk in my brother's apartment:
Rainey was quite excited to see Morgan and me, so it was hard to get her to sit for a picture:
Once we got to the forest preserve west of Elgin, Rainey and Morgan could run around to their hearts' content (as long as there weren't other people around, which was a somewhat rare occurrence due to the very nice weather):
Eventually, Rainey got tired:
Toward the end of the ramble, a lady walked by us and said, "Those are beautiful dogs you have." For Morgan, of course, that goes without saying. I'll let you be the judge for Rainey. Just several weeks ago, she was living in a forlorn kennel at the edge of the North Dakota prairie:
