Filbert Coffee
Yesterday morning, I had what I thought was a great idea. I had bought some unsalted hazelnuts, so I thought I'd make some hazelnut-flavored coffee by throwing a couple of the nuts into the grinder while I was grinding my coffee beans. The thought became the deed, and I set forth to brew a special and unique blend of Columbian and Guatamalen coffee with hazelnuts.
The taste test revealed, however, that hazelnut coffee is not made by throwing a couple nuts into the blend. I couldn't taste anything different from normal coffee.
