Thinking of Switching to Gmail

I've been using Yahoo for my email address for about six or seven years. But lately I've noticed that the ads are gettting really obtrusive on the Yahoo Mail site. This even though I shell out $20 a month to AT&T for my DSL, who supposedly has a deal with Yahoo to provide email.

So, I'm wondering, should I switch to my gmail address for good?
