Ah, Nikolaikirche! Should've known!
At any rate, it was quite a journey. I started in Kristianstad, went north, then finally worked my way all the way back around. Oy. Of course, I have yet to find Pete's pictures and maps, so maybe I'll work on that. I wonder if UNESCO can help...if so, I think we've found Pete's quiz secret! Haha. (Actually, I had thought of that before--checking UNESCO--but had no idea where to start, so I skipped it. I guess we shall see...)
Oh yeah, turns out the fire isn't a red herring--if you're familiar with your German history from the 1200's. Which, of course, I am not. Apparently, the good citizens of Lubeck burnt the place down in 1249. Who knew.
