Housing Quest II: A New Beginning
It turns out the house below ended up having five offers this week, including mine. The winning bidder was over the asking price, plus offered to pay all of the bank's closing costs.
Now that I didn't get it, I realize that:
1. The house needed a lot of work
2. It didn't have a good back yard for my dog. Also, limited potential for lambrusco grapes
But it is comforting to know that I recognized a good deal when I saw it, given that most houses in this market are not getting multiple offers and selling within a couple weeks of being listed.
To the future and beyond!
