Old Fashioneds Make a Comeback
I've seen two articles recently about old fashioneds, the favorite drink of my college days. I'm comment number 92 on the linked article.
Now, when I'm in a situation to order a cocktail, I usually get a perfect rob roy, on the rocks, with an olive and a twist. It's a habit I picked up from my former employer. Here in the Bay area, I've often had bartenders tell me that they haven't made one since they were in bartending school.
