More Urban Nature

A hummingbird likes to drink from the cuphea verticillata in my backyard, and it will often show up just after I have watered the plants.  When it looks toward me, the red on its throat is very apparent:

But when it looks toward the cuphea, it has a more dun color.  I may need to get a zoom lens:
