Wilson's China
Interestingly, as I was reading A Naturalist in Western China, I discovered a new book, published just within the past couple months, that retraces E.H. Wilson's trips through the mountainous regions of western Sichuan:

I started reading it tonight, after finishing Wilson's book last week, and it's fascinating to be able to compare Wilson's original writings and photographs with descriptions of the same location--and sometimes actually the same tree he photographed--a century after his plant hunting expeditions.
