The Golden Apple

Once I was at the Golden Apple diner in Chicago with a group of people, including our good friend Duke.  Just as the check came, Duke said, "Hey, did you ever hear of this thing called 'dine and ditch'?"

Many times since then, when I receive a check at a restaurant, I ask my companions if they've heard of this thing called 'dine and ditch.'  Haven't actually done it yet, though.
