Mid-Winter Yard Update, Part I

I want to start providing more regular woody plant updates, beginning in February, but first, here's some general updates from photographs I took today. Now that the days are growing longer, buds are beginning to form. First, here is Chaenomeles 'Kingishi' in my front yard:
One day when I was weeding, a woman walking her dog asked me what type of plant this Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Tricolor' was. She didn't seem to believe me when I said it was a star jasmine:

The Nandina domestica is beginning to grow:
