This has been a good year for Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Snow Queen’
Someday, I'll create a full post on the plants of Howard & Smith, a California nursery from the early part of the twentieth century. But for now, here is one of their introductions from 1938--'Poinsettia', which the American Rose Society rates as 4.8, well within the "Not Recommended" range.
