Do These Finches Look Fat?

I recently put a finch feeder in my back yard, and I've been surprised at how quickly the birds are going through the seeds.  This weekend, they polished of a full tube in two days.  And, when I looked a little closely, my finches do look a little plump:

They wait in the apple tree when I get too close to the feeder.

Their favorite perch is the tree in my neighbor's yard.
